Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA): Pink Lady Mosaic Project

Mandala Art’s ongoing involvement with the Breast Cancer Network Australia has involved many events, projects and collaborations over the years. As part of the BCNA’s Pink Lady campaigns, Mandala Art has been proud to present the charity with a number of mosaic artworks in their signature pink colour; most notably, a pink mosaic park bench (pictured). The bench was handmade in collaborative sessions hosted by Mandala Art at Bunnings Warehouse on a series of Ladies Days; supporters of the BCNA and those dealing with breast cancer worked with Mandala Art director Jay Petruccelli to craft the pink bench, as a gift to the charity and important symbol of healthy living through art. The bench was presented to the BCNA in a community celebration; displayed at Bunnings, the pink themed installation also included the charity’s balloons, give-aways of pink finger buns from Bakers Delight and assorted pieces of mosaic art and gifts, all donated by Mandala Art. Mandala Art’s Pink Lady events are consistently attended by people from all parts of the community, including celebrities like Tara Dennis from Better Homes and Gardens (pictured), who has expressed admiration and respect for Jay and his ongoing contributions to the charity: “I am amazed and moved at the wonderful work that has been done by the BCNA and Mandala Art – having worked with Jay on a number of occasions, I have nothing but praise for the wonderful work he has done for art and the community” Each event designed by Mandala Art for the BNCA champions the principles of Healthy Living Through Art, ideas that are also integral to the charity’s ethos. Encouraging healthy outdoor living and participation in art is an important part of the BCNA’s mission to support the recovery of those affected by breast cancer. for more information please visit www.mandalaart.com.au
